Why does this directory refuse to rank tools by hype?
Answer
Because hype is not evidence. Ranking by who claims to be 'best' would reward marketing, not quality, and it would mislead the people we are here to help.
Instead we rank on signals anyone can verify: measured uptime, how long a service has run, and moderated reviews. Where placement is paid, we label it.
This is slower and less flattering to some listings, but it is the only ranking that is honest. That is the point of an independent directory — see how we score reliability.
