Frequently asked questions
How the blog, the questions and answers, and the tools directory work. If your question is not here, send us a message from the contact page. Last updated: 10 July 2026.
What is SMM Directory?
An independent catalogue of third-party social media marketing tools, with practical guides and a questions-and-answers section alongside it. Each tool is described for the platform it serves and carries a rating from visitor votes plus an automatic reliability index.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. You can read every article, answer and listing, and cast a star vote, without registering. An account is only needed to save tools, claim a listing you own, or manage reviews.
Where do the ratings come from?
Star ratings come from people who voted — not from us. A separate reliability index is calculated automatically from measurable signals such as uptime, response speed, certificate health and domain history. You can read exactly how it works on the methodology page.
Are you affiliated with the tools you list?
No. A listing describes a tool for a platform; it is not an endorsement and does not mean we are affiliated with, endorsed by, or resellers of that tool or platform. We also operate some of our own tools in the catalogue, held to exactly the same rules and ranking as everyone else, with no preferential treatment.
Can I get a better rating by advertising?
No. Paid placements are always labelled and never buy a better rating or hide reviews. Ranking, reviews and reliability follow the same rules for everyone.
How do I add, claim or correct a listing?
You can submit a tool from the directory for us to review, and owners can claim and manage a listing from the advertiser dashboard. If a listing's data or rating looks wrong, you can dispute it — the process is on the methodology page — or contact us.
How do you handle my data?
We use first-party analytics only, run no third-party trackers, and never sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I report a problem or something abusive?
Use the report control on a listing or review, or contact us. Illegal content is removed and, where required, reported to the authorities — see our Terms of Use.
